ARRIS SURFboard SBG7400 DOCSIS 3.0 Wireless Gateway is a cable modem and Wi-Fi router capable of supporting Internet connectivity in the received (downstream) data stream of over 1 Gbps and over 260 Mbps in the send (upstream) data stream. SBG7400 includes ARRIS Secure Home Internet by McAfee.

The ARRIS SURFboard is part of the ARRIS portfolio of broadband access devices.  The SBG7400AC2 is available in retail outlets for direct to consumer purchases.  Purchasers can avoid the recurring cost of equipment lease fees from cable operators while enjoying the high performance device.

The SBG7400AC2 includes embedded, state-of-the-art internet security that provides protection from malicious web sites for all connected clients, including IoT devices.  Paired with mobile application controls for features and functionality, consumers can experience the convenience and total control of their home network.  

The SBG7400 utilizes advanced DOCSIS technology to provide consumers with the capability to take advantage of new and faster speed tiers offered by service providers. The gateway also employs the newest release Wi-Fi standard, 802.11ac Wave 2 with support for MU-MIMO.

SBG7400 is designed to ARRIS’s high performance and reliability standards. It is manufactured in accordance to the TL9000 standards for which ARRIS is certified. Our manufacturing processes meet the rigors of this certification. As part of its manufacturing process each unit undergoes functional testing and a percentage of the manufactured units are more rigorously tested as part of our Quality Assurance process. Products are also fully tested for feature, functional, and interoperability performance.

ARRIS Secure Home Internet by McAfee® places best-in-class security at the point where data flows in and out of the home. It protects all devices connected to the network and enables customized settings by user profile. With its mobile app consumers can set parental controls by user profile, receive instant alerts of suspicious activity, and manage their network -- no matter where they are.

SBG7400 uses a unique and attractive enclosure design that’s slim and easy on the eyes. The front shows whether the device is online or if the Wi-Fi is active. This design is intended to be displayed in the open (rather than hidden away), facilitating wireless signal connectivity by not having to hide the device in a closet.

The ARRIS SURFboard SBG7400’s installation is supported by a proprietary ARRIS mobile app, which also provides easily accessible management and instant suspicious activity alerts.
