Immersive HD Model 6.5HD is the world's first all-weather planar-ribbon loudspeaker.  It provides the spine-tingling transparency of planar-ribbon in any outdoor environment, and can configured into arrays for club-level output.  Just two 6.5HD speakers cover up to 6,000 sq. ft. with astounding fidelity.  Subwoofers are optional, but not required.

Immersive HD 6.5HD speakers are world's first all-weather planar-ribbon speakers, utilizing a 6.5" composite cone woofer with a 6" ribbon driver.  With an IP-65 weather rating, this speaker design brings the crystalline clarity of planar-ribbon technology to outdoor applications.  

Planar-ribbon transducers are only 34 microns thick, with very little mass, allowing for lightning-fast transient response and instantaneous peak level output.  The result is breath-taking transparency and accuracy.

Planar-ribbon technology functions like a line-source at higher frequencies, providing more than double the output of conventional speaker at distances of 100 feet or more.  Whereas conventional drivers dissipate energy in all directions (like incandescent light), planar-ribbon dirvers emit a coherent wave-front, focusing energy and sound where directed (like laser light), allowing for greater coverage and even SPL.  

Conventional drivers disperse horizontally at about 55° (depending upon frequency).  AmbiSonic's Immersive HD 6.5 speakers disperse sound at 110° horizontally, and 60° vertically.  As a result, just two 6.5 HD speakers cover up to 6,000 sq. ft.  Due to this consistant output, SPL is unusually even throughout the listening area.

Most landscape speaker systems utilize satellite/subwoofer configurations.  For such systems, subwoofers are essential.  Immersive HD 6.5HD speakers extend down to 50 Hz, providing robust mid-bass performance.  As a result, subwoofers are optional.

Immersive HD 6.5 speakers can be mounted on a pole (of varying lenghs), or surface-mounted with a "universal mount".

Multiple Immersive HD 6.5 speakers can be tiered vertically into an array, allowing for truly "club-level" output, if so desired.

Immersive HD 6.5 speakers are ideal for residential landscape applications where robust, clean output is required over small to large listening areas.

Immerisve HD 6.5 is also ideal for commercial outdoor applications.  Speakers can be distributed horizontally to cover very large areas, or tiered vertically into arrays for high-output applications.

Expandable.  Coverage can be expanded horizontally (over a wide area) or vertically (to increase SPL).  Immersive HD 6.5's can accommodate virtually any sized area.

Available 10" or 12" AmbiSonic pro-level subwoofers, can enhance bass frequencies to audiophile levels.

Due to large coverage, speakers can be placed at a distance (usually on the perimteter), minimizing any visual impact.

Can be powered by any good quality 8-Ohm amplifier (no 70-volt amps).  Minimum of 100 watts per channel (RMS) required.

Simple wiring - each speaker is wired with a single 2-conductor 14-guage direct-burial wire.  (No daisy-chain wiring necessary).

Flexible mounting solutions - either pole mount, or surface mount.

Fast installation - can usually be installed in one or two hours.
