The Control4 System with OS 2.10 facilitates home management with remote access and smart home scenes. Control4 combines everything in the home into a single interface for simple control of lights, shades, TVs, multi-room audio, door locks, and almost anything else using a smartphone, tablet, keypad, remote, or voice command. Control4 supports nearly 11,000 third-party devices including over 2,900 SDDP-enabled products, such as the latest 4K HDTVs from Samsung, to orchestrate everything in the home so that one command turns up the thermostat, sets the alarm, shuts the inside lights, and locks the door.

Control4 added When >> Then Automation to the 4Sight Service, to increase personalization or tweak device activation and smart home scenes set by the dealer. When>>Then is simple; the user selects a When (on a schedule, with a touch of a button, or after an event) and selects a Then action to take place (turn on a light, start a playlist, or send a push notification). This enhances the quality of the professional installation by bringing homeowners the ability to personalize their system for their lifestyle. For example, a “Cooking” scene on a button activates the lights in the kitchen, turns on the fan, and the TV to Food Network. When >> Then allows homeowners to personalize their system and make tweaks to their scenes via an intuitive online interface; for example, to change Food Network in the “Cooking” scene to the Travel Channel.

Control4 System with OS 2.10 can control lighting, comfort, security, and entertainment devices, as well as music. Control4 supports native streaming services for iHeartRadio, Spotify, SiriusXM®, Deezer®, Napster®, Pandora®, TIDAL®, and TuneIn®, so homeowners can select a favorite playlist, album, or station from the Control4 App and stream it throughout their home using their EA Series controller without any additional media players.

Control4 supports its automation systems through its other brands Pakedge and Triad, to provide robust networking products and high-quality speakers and audio products. The Pakedge BakPak remote monitoring platform allows dealers to see the network health of their entire customer base, and remotely manage offline networks and/or devices in the system. Control4 also supports its dealers through training available in the Control4 Dealer Portal, as well as network IP training with the new Pakedge Certified Network Administrator (PCNA) program.  PCNA trains dealers using online coursework combined with hands-on training to learn the logical processes for designing networks for predictable, reliable performance, fundamentals of how TCP/IP works, the material differences between types of Ethernet cables (CAT5e, CAT6, CAT6a, CAT7), and the workings and configuration options of network routers, switches, and wireless access points.
