With the help of Amazon Alexa intelligent voice control or Google Assistant, users can automate the home with just a few voice commands.
The ease and speed of programming permits installers to spend more time focusing on designing and customizing the system to fit individual customer needs rather than spending time generating interfaces and building tedious activity macros. Total Control 2.0 allows for off-site programming modifications after initial installation, eliminating the need for a truck roll or for the customer to be onsite during system changes.
What differentiates Total Control 2.0 from the competition is its simplicity and linear design. It is easy enough for novices to quickly program small basic systems, but it is robust enough to offer the power and flexibility required for experienced programmers to automate and customize almost every aspect of the user experience. With basic configuration of several pull-down menus and click-and-drags, Total Control 2.0 automatically generates user interfaces and creates all basic activities, saving hours of programming time compared to other home automation software suites. Total Control 2.0 separates itself from the competition with its ability to start small as a single room system and expand at any time without removing previously installed devices.
URC engineers also restructured the mainframe for increased stability and reliability within base stations and interfaces. Compartmentalized two-way modules now run independently of each other, increasing the overall speed and stability of the system.
Total Control 2.0 offers advanced features that every installer needs and customer wants. It is the direct result of the features that URC programmers have asked for. We listened to their requests and provided solutions, stability and efficiency. In conjunction with the new streamlined user interface, the software offers features that make end user system operation more intuitive. Although URC doesn’t charge for any of these features, it leaves discretion to the integrator to work recurring revenue into their sales model.
