The Touch Surface is designed to be installed behind or underneath non-conductive surfaces in the home such as stone, wood, ceramics, and glass. Touch Surface offers an extraordinary control integrated directly into the home’s hard furnishings.

While we automate most things in a home, the Touchpad is still the number one input device as it is simply faster to press a button than to open up an app or to do a voice command. Loxone has developed an intelligent Touch Switch concept to control the whole home with just a few touch points.  The five buttons of the Touch Surface provide functionality for:

• ‘House Off’ Central function
• Music on / off
• Volume up / down
• Changing music sources
• Blinds up / down

These are the default settings. The five touch points of the Touch Surface can be custom assigned to any functionality by the Integrator.

Also, LED status lights, audible click feedback, and an ‘activation’ touch point to prevent unintentional clicks, all contribute to the sheer ingenuity of this product.

In the whole smart home market, this type of Touch Switch concept and the Touch Surface itself is unique and not comparable to any other control products out there.

Loxone recommends their Switch Concept: the large center touch point for lighting, the left two touch points for shading and the right two touch points for music.

To prevent turning the lights off in the middle of rolling out the pizza dough on the kitchen countertop, the Touch Surface has an activation function which enables the five touch points for a few seconds. The LED indicators will let you know when the five touch points are awake and give you a visual countdown to the touch points returning to standby.

Installers can add an innovative and exciting product to their portfolio that will beautifully match any interior design. The Touch Surface is a great upsell for a Smart Home. Loxone offers the Touch Surface in different installation options: including the Loxone Tree (wired) or Loxone Air (wireless) technology. The Integrator doesn’t need to worry if there’s an option to run cabling. The Air version of the Touch Surface can be placed wherever the customer would like to have it.
